About the position

The Technical Business Analyst will assist in the technical management of the Post Trade application, delivering critical business outcomes. This role requires onsite work at CapitalROCK's North Salt Lake headquarters and involves designing and coding business logic into a rules engine to support industry requirements while collaborating with customers and third parties.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update rules, business logic and content in a rules-based engine, ensuring accuracy.
  • Act as a bridge between compliance, industry and financial experts and the development of the business rules.
  • Create clear alert messages and explanations for end-users.
  • Assist in addressing customer inquiries about how the system applies certain rules.
  • Review and manage customer reported bugs which includes troubleshooting and identifying underlying issues.
  • Understand financial services industry terms and processes.
  • Responsible for writing clear and concise user stories, tickets and acceptance criteria in adherence to Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum routines: standups, sprint and release planning.
  • Manage adjustments in the application's user interface (UI) using internal tools.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, marketing/sales and management on new features.
  • Execute on routine product updates that support standard business cycle.
  • Document new and existing system processes that relate to business logic best practices.
  • Work with Product Manager(s) to prioritize and resolve any issues arising from released products and features.
  • Proactively explore data and identify opportunities to improve existing products and features.
  • Able to review data files and API responses and understand how the application consumes data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of basic to intermediate coding experience such as VBA, JavaScript, Python, C#, or C++.
  • 1-2 years of experience in technical support, computer science, product management, or other technical roles.
  • Proven experience of being able to own ambiguous tasks and work through challenging projects.
  • Post trade process and review experience, or investment or annuity knowledge preferred.
