About the position
The Technical Communications Lecturer position at Georgia Tech involves providing high-quality undergraduate teaching primarily within the technical communications component of the College's capstone design program. The role also includes opportunities to teach graduate courses, engage in curriculum development, and participate in service at the School, College, and Institute levels. This position is part of the newly established School of Computing Instruction, which aims to enhance computing education through innovative teaching methods and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality undergraduate teaching in technical communications.
- Teach graduate courses as needed, matched to the candidate's expertise.
- Participate in service activities at the School, College, and Institute levels.
- Engage in scholarship and curriculum development related to technical communication.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience for students.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Technical Communication or a related field (e.g., Communication, English, Rhetoric/Composition, Science Communication).
- For Senior Lecturer: At least six (6) years of full-time relevant experience.
