About the position

The Technical Consultant, Risk Control at Liberty Mutual Insurance is responsible for providing sophisticated consulting services to a major transportation and logistics client. This role involves working closely with the client's health and safety and operations management teams to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to quality execution, alongside the necessary technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customer management and employees to provide comprehensive consulting services to meet key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate, innovate, influence, and inspire team members to achieve common goals.
  • Foster a growth mindset for continuous improvement in work products and service delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels of the customer organization to impact business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in math, engineering, or related areas, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or safety/health fields.
  • Working towards or obtained advanced degree or professional certification (CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, CPE).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in service planning, risk assessment, and solutions management.
  • Effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills to maintain relationships with customers and peers.
  • Proficiency in using proprietary software applications and Microsoft Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with risk analysis and progress measurement techniques.
