About the position

The Junior Technical Coordinator for Experiential Marketing will play a crucial role in supporting the Event Experiences team at a global leader in Entertainment Technology. This position is designed for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to contribute to various experiential activations, tradeshows, and virtual events. The coordinator will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination, ensuring that all aspects of the events run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, particularly in setting up events, and will be familiar with using light shop tools, including hand tools, light power tools, and electronics-soldering tools. This role requires a self-reliant and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to rapidly changing technology and specifications. The coordinator will be expected to seek resources and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the events. In addition to technical support, the coordinator will assist with organizational tasks, including systems troubleshooting, inventory organization, documentation, and event planning support. The role also involves staffing support at events managed and produced by the technical team, ensuring that all team members are well-prepared and equipped for their responsibilities. This position is onsite from Monday to Friday in South San Francisco and is offered as a 12+ month contract with the possibility of extension. The candidate should be prepared for potential domestic business trips, with travel expected to locations such as Las Vegas and various events in California.

Responsibilities

  • General support of the technical team on potential upcoming activations such as Formula One 2024, CES 2025, US Tennis Open 2024, SXSW 2025, and CinemaCon 2025.
  • General organizational support of the team with systems troubleshooting.
  • Support with systems testing.
  • Support with inventory organization, documentation, and event planning support.
  • Support with team systems innovation.
  • Staffing support at events managed and produced with the aid of the technical team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' related experience in events/production
  • General Technical Aptitude
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High level of information management and general organizational skills
  • Interest and curiosity regarding technical troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of both Mac and Windows OS
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Smartsheet, Omnigraffle
  • Previous events/production experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint
  • Computer Networking knowledge is a plus
  • Comfortable using light shop tools (hand tools/light power tools/electronics-soldering tools)
