About the position

The Technical Copywriter/Specifications Manager at JEM Global is responsible for creating clear and engaging documentation for a range of consumer electronics products. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that product features and benefits are effectively communicated through user manuals, specifications, and online content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong ability to translate complex concepts into accessible language.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit user manuals, installation guides, and technical documentation for products from brands such as Monster, Black+Decker, Energizer, and Xtreme.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
• Create user-friendly online help documentation and FAQs.
• Develop product descriptions and marketing copy that highlight features and benefits.
• Conduct research to understand technical concepts and consumer needs.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to brand guidelines and industry standards.
• Review and revise content based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
• Write customer service scripts to help answer calls, emails, and online reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Copywriter, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong understanding of technology and ability to translate complex concepts into accessible language.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
