About the position

The Technical Curriculum Developer for Pharmacovigilance Software at Veeva Systems is responsible for creating innovative learning content aimed at enhancing the skills of Veeva customers, partners, and employees in using Veeva's software products. This role involves translating complex technical topics into engaging educational experiences, managing the curriculum development process, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of training materials. The position requires a strong background in curriculum development for technical SaaS products and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct instructional research and task analysis on learner and role context.
  • Apply adult learning theory to design engaging training experiences and develop associated learning assets.
  • Use modern authoring tools to build, deploy, and update courses in various interactive formats.
  • Translate complex technical subjects into clear and concise instruction for users.
  • Manage the end-to-end curriculum development process from analysis to evaluation.
  • Work cross-functionally with SMEs and stakeholders to validate learning objectives and technical accuracy.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Veeva products and underlying technologies.
  • Develop instructionally sound assessments for knowledge and job performance.
  • Lead instruction of pilot materials in internal/external training sessions.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of course lab environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of curriculum development experience, including writing technical learning content for software products.
  • Expertise in using tools to create and publish interactive courseware (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia).
  • Excellent written, visual design, and verbal communication skills.
  • Life sciences industry experience, particularly in pharmacovigilance and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality projects on time.
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently in a high-performing team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships across business lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field.
  • Certifications in instructional design or curriculum development (e.g., ATD, CPTD).
  • Knowledge of safety data management systems and regulatory frameworks like GxP and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience with Veeva products or similar life sciences SaaS platforms.
  • A portfolio of previously developed course materials.
