About the position

The Technical Curriculum Developer for Security in Cloud Learning Services at Google is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technical learning content and curricula for various cloud roles. This role involves translating complex technical content into accessible learning materials, collaborating with subject matter experts, and utilizing instructional design principles to enhance the learning experience. The position aims to support the ongoing mission of making quality learning experiences universally accessible and useful.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Google Cloud technologies, understanding the services and developing training for our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional subject-matter experts and partners in the development process.
  • Design and develop creative learner-centered training content and curriculum in multiple modalities, including instructor-led training, on-demand interactive e-learning, videos, labs, job aides, facilitator guides, and resource materials.
  • Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each audience across multiple global locations.
  • Be responsive to the fluid nature of innovation and analysis content in a structured manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with cloud computing technologies, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), DevOps practices, and automation tools.
  • 4 years of experience in collaborating with technical subject matter experts to develop training content and curricula.
  • 4 years of experience in designing and developing learning solutions in various formats.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect or familiarity with Google Cloud Infrastructure Modernization solutions.
  • 2 years of experience in coding or scripting in one of the following languages: Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, C#, Javascript, Perl, PowerShell, or Unix/Linux shells.
  • Experience with Camtasia, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar e-learning development tools.
  • Experience creating or managing lab activities.
  • Knowledge of and direct experience with security cloud computing technologies, including DevSecOps practices, cloud security monitoring tools, cloud threat intelligence and analysis tools, and cloud identity and access solutions.
