About the position

The Technical Data Analyst position is an immediate need for a talented individual who will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and providing analytical insights to support business decision-making. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity located in Mountain View, CA, with a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake. This role requires a strong focus on data quality assurance, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and complete throughout the data pipeline. The analyst will implement data quality checks and validation processes to uphold these standards. In addition to data pipeline development, the Technical Data Analyst will design and develop data models that effectively represent business processes and support analytical needs. The role also involves creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, QlikView, or Quicksight to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support sales and business decision-making is another key responsibility. Collaboration with analysts, sales leaders, and other stakeholders is essential to understand their data requirements and provide tailored solutions. The analyst will also be responsible for creating and maintaining clear documentation for data processes, models, and dashboards, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to necessary information.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the data pipeline by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikSense, QlikView, or Quicksight.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
