About the position
The Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) for the Water Services Group (WSG) at CDM Smith is a senior leadership role focused on delivering high-quality technical services and products. The TDM is responsible for staff development, financial performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating with various teams to achieve operational goals and foster the growth of future leaders within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Delivering and committing staff for specific assignments in coordination with Regional Team Leaders and other units.
- Controlling non-chargeable salaries, operating income, indirect expenses, and delivering targeted profit margins.
- Coordinating with other Technical Delivery Managers and Regional Team Leaders to share work and staff across geographic boundaries.
- Overseeing technical excellence and compliance with Quality Management and Health and Safety procedures.
- Developing and growing future leaders through mentoring and technical development programs.
- Participating in Technical Knowledge Management and ensuring active participation of staff.
- Assigning Project Manager in-Training coaches in coordination with Client Services and Regional Team Leaders.
- Collaborating with Delivery Leaders, Practice Leaders, and Sales Leaders on hiring and market strategies.
- Providing input to the Technical Services Unit's annual business and profit plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 15 years of related experience.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
