The Technical Designer/Interior Designer position at a high-quality design firm in downtown Detroit is aimed at a mid-senior level professional with a strong background in interior design, particularly in hospitality and similar sectors. The role emphasizes a design-centered approach, requiring the candidate to lead projects from concept to completion while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure design integrity and project success.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through completion.
• Develop design concepts, presentations, and detailed drawings using Revit.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure design integrity and project success.
• Prepare and review design documentation, specifications, and material selections.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations to deliver cutting-edge designs.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of professional interior design experience (Ideally 10 years).
• NCIDQ Certified or actively pursuing licensure.
• Proven experience in hospitality projects, or similar sectors (education, healthcare, corporate office).
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Strong design skills and a passion for high-quality design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
