About the position

The Technical Digital Product Manager for the Container Platform at Allstate is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of the Container Platform within the Platform as a Service portfolio. This role involves managing the product vision, discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize product value, while ensuring collaboration with stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes across various cloud environments. The position requires a hands-on technical approach to navigate complex container technologies and integrate various technologies to create a scalable and secure platform.

Responsibilities

• Create, drive and execute product strategy for the Kubernetes container platform.
• Craft and execute a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define necessary conditions for intended outcomes.
• Navigate complex container technologies to inform product decisions.
• Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritize them.
• Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies for product marketing.
• Define and manage metrics to measure success and inform product strategy.
• Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to validate assumptions and product direction.
• Manage the product backlog and provide timely feedback on development iterations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant new product or technology development experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Platform as a Service/Container Orchestration software, such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts and ability to execute Kubectl commands.
• Solid understanding of cloud services across multiple venues.
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code and immutable infrastructure concepts.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to product development teams.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and ceremonies.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
