About the position
The Technical Director for AIOps, DevOps, and Platform Engineering will lead the technical strategy and execution of infrastructure and operations. This role focuses on overseeing the implementation of AIOps solutions, ensuring robust DevOps practices, and driving the development and maintenance of platform engineering efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the technical vision and roadmap for AIOps, DevOps, and platform engineering.
- Align technology strategies with business goals to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AIOps solutions to enhance IT operations through artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Implement predictive analytics, automation, and monitoring tools to proactively address issues and optimize performance.
- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Ensure seamless collaboration between development and operations teams to improve the speed and quality of software delivery.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable platform solutions that support the development, deployment, and operation of applications.
- Manage platform infrastructure, including cloud services, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicate technical concepts and project statuses effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AIOps, DevOps, and platform engineering.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in leading AIOps, DevOps, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Strong background in cloud computing, automation, and infrastructure management.
- Expertise in AIOps tools and technologies (e.g., Splunk, Moogsoft, BigPanda).
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, IaC, and containerization (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
