About the position

The Technical Director, PFAS Controls & Solutions at Sedron Technologies is responsible for leading the company's efforts in monitoring, researching, and mitigating the impacts of PFAS contamination across various site locations in the United States. This role involves strategic oversight of PFAS program development, collaboration with regulatory agencies, and the implementation of advanced environmental assessment methodologies. The position aims to establish Sedron as an industry leader in PFAS mitigation while fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge dissemination within the organization and among external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Sedron's PFAS program strategy to establish the company as an industry leader in PFAS mitigation and elimination.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced sampling protocols and data collection methodologies, conducting comprehensive environmental assessments to identify and address PFAS contamination.
  • Lead the dissemination of PFAS knowledge within Sedron and among external partners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and stay ahead of evolving PFAS standards.
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of laboratory results; prepare and present high-impact technical reports, proposals, and presentations on PFAS findings and recommended actions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including community members and industry partners, to communicate PFAS risks, regulatory changes, and Sedron's mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and regulatory developments regarding PFAS.
  • Support other research initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks.
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance.
  • Maintain good organization skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, etc.).
  • Proven leadership experience in environmental monitoring and PFAS-specific management, with experience in a wastewater treatment setting highly beneficial.
  • Proficient knowledge of environmental regulations and PFAS-specific standards.
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience using relevant software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel up to 20% of the time.
