About the position

In this role, you will lead software delivery workstreams while adhering to JSM and SPO processes. Your primary focus will be on synchronizing customer needs with design requirements and program timings to ensure that quality software is deployed on time. You will be responsible for evolving tools and processes that facilitate this deployment, including participating in PI Planning, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions. A key aspect of your role will involve understanding and executing change and incident management protocols, ensuring that all areas of software development, release activities, and deployment owners are effectively liaised with. You will navigate from the roadmap to actionable plans, influencing sequencing, resolving dependencies, and identifying as well as mitigating risks. Clear communication will be essential as you convey direction and product priorities to the development team and other matrixed teams. You will also be responsible for communicating timelines, deliverables, risks, delays, and impacts to project team members. Proactively leading teams to assess and measure risks will be crucial to ensure that Program Increments (PIs) and their associated Epics remain on track. A customer-focused and data-driven approach will be vital in this position. Your technical expertise in the DevOps field, particularly in Continuous Delivery (CD), will be a significant asset. You will also need to possess strong storytelling abilities and an understanding of user experience (UX). The ability to analyze and interpret data will be essential for success in this role. Previous development experience, particularly in Python or Golang, will be highly advantageous, with a preference for candidates who have experience in both languages. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in managing large and technically complex projects, along with 2-3 years of experience as a front-end or back-end developer. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead software delivery workstreams abiding by JSM/SPO processes.

• Understand and execute change and incident management.
• Liaise with all areas of software development, release activities, and deployment owners.
• Navigate from roadmap to plan, influencing sequencing, resolving dependencies, and identifying and mitigating risk.
• Communicate direction and product priorities to the development team and other matrixed teams.
• Convey timelines, deliverables, risks, delays, and impacts to project team members.
• Proactively lead teams to assess/measure risks and assure PIs and its Epics stay on track.

Requirements

• 5+ years of large/technically complex management experience such as evaluating, defining, and rolling out solutions.
• 2-3 years as a front-end/backend developer.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Technical expertise in the DevOps field, mainly on Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Previous development experience in Python or Golang.
