About the position

The Technical Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing and providing relevant documentation for Ranpak Automation equipment, including manuals, service manuals, and training documentation. This role ensures that customers receive the necessary documentation for their delivered systems and contributes to the overall service organization by providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide up-to-date training documentation and materials.
• Ensure customers have the necessary documentation for delivered systems.
• Contribute to a professional and profitable service organization.
• Establish documentation in line with different user levels.
• Provide feedback to engineering regarding incorrect or incomplete machine documentation.
• Assist in solving technical issues, prototype setup, and assembly.
• Contribute to the growth of the knowledge base used by the service department.
• Provide recommendations to improve the serviceability of machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical writing, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in writing technical documentation and creating technical training materials for packaging machines or comparable complex machines.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Well-organized and structured approach to documentation needs.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, engineering drawings, BaaN, Infor LN, and SAP.
• Logical thought processes.
