About the position

The Technical Editor III position at Vectrus is a critical role within our National Security Program, focusing on the development, editing, and production of finished intelligence reports. These reports are essential for the exploitation of highly sensitive and technical foreign materials. The Technical Editor will work closely with a team of government and contract engineers, technicians, and analysts to produce detailed analyses of foreign naval systems, countermeasures, tactics, and operations. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the Intelligence Community's standards and directives. In this position, the Technical Editor will initiate and manage the Foreign Material Exploitation (FME) document production cycle. This involves ensuring that analytic and production standards are integrated and adhered to throughout the process. The editor will be responsible for editing, producing, and finalizing FME products in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and customer production standards, ensuring that all materials are suitable for posting and distribution up to TS//SCI//SAP classification levels. Additionally, the Technical Editor will manage the production and development of products at multiple classification levels, ensuring compliance with authorized classification and control markings. The role also includes tracking, maintaining, and archiving copies of analytic products, as well as modifying graphics as needed to support production requirements. The Technical Editor will maintain an exploitation production database, which is crucial for the organization and retrieval of documents. This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and manage the Foreign Material Exploitation (FME) document production cycle to ensure analytic and production standards are integrated and adhered.
  • Edit, produce, and finalize FME products in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and customer production standards for posting and distribution up to TS//SCI//SAP classification.
  • Manage the production and development of products at multiple classification levels ensuring conformance with Intelligence Community authorized classification and control markings.
  • Track, maintain, and archive copies of analytic products.
  • Modify graphics as needed to support production requirements.
  • Maintain exploitation production database.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree (desired) or High School Degree with 3-years of experience in a similar position.
  • 3 years' experience proofing, editing, and converting draft files into PDF, MS Word, Photoshop, and other formats.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Professional (PDF), Microsoft Publisher, and HighPoint (HP).
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
