About the position

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Editor to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and quality of technical documentation. This role involves reviewing, revising, and editing a variety of documents, including installation instructions and training materials, in collaboration with subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing and editing, with exceptional attention to detail and a deep understanding of technical terminology and document formatting.

Responsibilities

• Review, revise, and edit technical documents prepared by various teams.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality of technical documentation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers to refine content.
• Update installation instructions and training materials to meet project standards.
• Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee documentation excellence.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience in technical writing and editing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in producing and refining technical documents.
• In-depth knowledge of Department of Defense standards and terminology.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance processes.
• High-level expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
