The Teacher ESE position at Fellsmere Elementary is designed for an educator who specializes in Exceptional Student Education. This role requires strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to plan and implement activities that maximize student engagement and learning outcomes. The teacher will also be responsible for assessing student achievement levels, analyzing test results, and prescribing appropriate actions for improvement. Maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment is crucial, and the teacher must demonstrate the ability to supervise students effectively. Collaboration with peers, administrators, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure a supportive educational experience for students. Furthermore, the teacher should be knowledgeable about the laws, policies, and procedures that govern the education of students with disabilities, including the use of adaptive devices, techniques, therapies, and medical procedures as needed. Familiarity with Florida Educator Accomplished Practices and Teacher Competencies is also required to ensure compliance with state educational standards.
