About the position

The Technical Enablement Developer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for creating and curating high-quality learning experiences for the technical field, including solutions architects and customer solutions managers. This role combines content design, technical writing, and interpersonal skills to develop training materials that enhance the capabilities of AWS's technical teams. The developer will work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the training content is technically accurate and meets the evolving needs of the audience.

Responsibilities

• Build enablement content for the technical field using various learning methods.
• Collaborate with audience representatives and SMEs to understand training needs and develop accurate training materials.
• Lead working sessions with SMEs and stakeholders to drive innovative design.
• Own projects from content development to publishing, including visual and video content as needed.
• Propose innovative approaches to enablement, utilizing automation and generative AI.
• Become an internal SME on AWS solution development and customer support to create relevant training content.
• Understand the roles of solutions architects and customer solutions managers to effectively build enablement content.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in curriculum/training design/development or enablement design/development.
• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in technical subject matter and/or AWS Cloud services, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• 3+ years of experience developing learning content using various authoring platforms and tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite.
• 2+ years of writing/editing experience.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Certification (Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer).
• 1+ years of experience using generative AI for training development.
• 3+ years of experience in one or more IT domains.
• Graduate certificate or degree in instructional design or adult learning.
• Degree or certificate in a technical field or 5+ years of experience in a technical industry.
• 4+ years of experience conducting quality analysis reviews of instructional materials.
• Experience with LMS architecture and deployment in a corporate learning environment.
