About the position

This position is responsible for developing new or existing products of SPVC resins on various types of application process and providing assistance to customers and internal business groups to enhance SPVC resins sales. It also needs to provide creative ideas and assistance to operation units. All while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, safety regulations, and company requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to gain new business and maintain existing customers.
  • Maintain customer contact and develop new contacts.
  • Provide technical support to improve the quality of all product lines.
  • Develop new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with customers to be a technical solution provider.
  • Develop and deliver new and improved products in a timely manner to generate value creation and/or cost saving.
  • Improve the competitiveness of our product portfolio and product quality to meet customers' needs.
  • Provide regulatory support to the Operating Units to enable smooth operation and manufacture high-quality products.
  • React with expediency and accuracy to determine the root cause of customer problems and provide remote assistance to resolve them.
  • Recommend improvements to product specifications and quality measurement.
  • Handle customer complaints and update progress regularly with sales and customers.
  • Provide expertise targeted at improving and strengthening internal and external relationships to facilitate sales and business.
  • Integrate and utilize cross-functional internal contacts and external contact resources to solve internal/external customers' challenges.
  • Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and guidance for individual team member development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Chemical Engineering, Polymer/Materials Sciences and Engineering, or Chemistry required.
  • 0 ~ 3 years' experience in a petro-chemical refinery environment.
  • Experience in polymer chemistry/physics, structure-property relationships, polymer processing, additive formulations, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills is a plus.
