About the position

The Engineering Product Manager at Renu Robotics will lead the development and management of innovative robotic solutions for vegetation management in solar projects. This role involves defining product strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful product launches while managing stakeholder communications and product performance post-launch.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback collection to identify opportunities and define product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for the engineering team.
  • Lead the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between engineering and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Present product updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including executives and other teams.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure the product meets quality standards and is free of defects.
  • Plan and coordinate product launches, working with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful rollouts.
  • Manage the product development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in product management, particularly in an engineering or technology-focused role.
  • Experience managing product strategy or strategic product management in B2B tech startups and scaleups, big tech, and/or consulting.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to develop complex software or hardware products.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and engage in technical discussions with engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a startup environment or with rapidly scaling products.
  • Knowledge of specific industry standards, such as software development best practices, hardware design, or regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in leading or managing a team of engineers or product managers.
