About the position

The Technical Engineering Sales Support role at JMP Equipment Company is focused on providing engineering and technical product support to enhance the sales efforts of the outside sales team. This position involves equipment selection, customer service, and maintaining communication with consulting engineers and customers to ensure accurate and timely responses to product inquiries and orders.

Responsibilities

• Handle engineering and technical product support to assist outside sales staff.
• Provide equipment selections and quotations for JMP products as requested by staff and customers.
• Maintain a job quote log in the JMP CRM system.
• Assist consulting engineers with design and follow-up communications regarding product selections and specifications.
• Provide customer service including quotations, order placement, tracking order status, and product troubleshooting.
• Support outside sales with timely assistance on tasks such as submittals and general correspondence with customers.
• Expedite orders and credits for customers and assist with returns and the JMP RMA process.
• Enter and expedite JCS jobs and factory CQM's.
• Become proficient in company computer-based business systems and equipment quotation programs.
• Assist in logistical arrangements for local seminars and training classes.
• Handle all mail and package shipments, both incoming and outgoing.
• Coordinate Hyfab requests from local engineers to ensure timely and accurate information delivery to customers.
• Maintain appropriate office supplies and assist management with office equipment maintenance.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical degree or work experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in all equipment selection software.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude.
