About the position

The Technical Field Engineer for Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) at Medtronic is responsible for leading education and training activities for customers and employees in the CRM sector. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance regional performance, providing technical expertise, and ensuring effective communication of product updates. The engineer will also engage in strategic partnerships to develop training programs that align with business goals, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional customer and employee education and training activities for CRM procedures and product launches.
  • Train and educate internal teams and external customers on CRM products and solutions.
  • Coordinate new-hire training and ensure accountability to hiring managers.
  • Deliver tailored training on Medtronic and competitive products to enhance technical and sales skills.
  • Translate complex technical messaging and resolve technical issues for customers.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop strategic training that meets business goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers to reinforce Medtronic's technical competency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or sales/service/engineering in the Cardiac Rhythm or Implantable Medical Device Industry.
  • Advanced Degree in engineering or nursing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in biomedical engineering or nursing
  • Experience in Cath Lab, EP Lab, hospital/clinic, or cardiology
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel
  • Thorough knowledge of cardiac medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships across organization levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Expertise with Microsoft tools and business applications
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
  • IBHRE certification (required at Sr and Prin level)
