About the position

The Technical Fleet Project Manager is a pivotal role within PACCAR Parts, responsible for integrating fleet customers into the Kenworth and Peterbilt dealer network through the utilization of PACCAR Parts' eCommerce solutions. This position serves as a crucial link between US and Canadian fleet customers, PACCAR dealers, TreviPay, IT vendors, and the eCommerce team, with the primary goal of enhancing the fleet purchasing experience across the dealer network and the PACCAR Parts Fleet Services program. The Project Manager will develop a comprehensive scope of work and timelines, driving implementation while fostering collaboration among various stakeholders. In this role, the Project Manager will ensure that information flows seamlessly through relevant business systems, executing project management best practices autonomously during dealer and fleet business systems migrations. As a data quality steward, the Project Manager will consistently ensure the integrity of data before and after processing it in reporting and projects, including system validation efforts. Clear documentation and communication of business and system requirements for development teams will be essential, including the creation of program specifications and technical writing statements of work. Collaboration with developers and subject matter experts will be key to establishing the technical vision and analyzing trade-offs between usability and performance needs. The Project Manager will also work closely with quality assurance and development teams to triage defects and ensure that changes are correctly migrated into production. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of work, timelines and drive for implementation while working collaboratively.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure information flows smoothly through relevant business systems.
  • Execute project management best practices in dealing with dealer and fleet business systems migrations autonomously.
  • Act as a data quality steward, ensuring the quality of data before and after processing it in reporting and projects including system validation efforts.
  • Document and communicate the business and system requirements for development teams, including program specifications and technical writing statements of work.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Work with the quality assurance and development teams to triage defects and ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, analytics, or related disciplines required.
  • Master's degree in related field or MBA desired.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with strong project management skills and project implementation.
  • Six Sigma training a plus.
  • Familiarity with PACCAR Parts Division programs, product lines, and part numbering conventions a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to work with various levels of management.
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced SQL, Tableau and Intermediate Python, cXML required.
  • 2 or more years of experience with Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.
