About the position

The Technical Grant Writer for Broadband Workforce Technical Assistance is responsible for seeking grant opportunities, researching, and writing grant applications and related documents. This role requires a motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively, facilitating meetings and workshops on the grant writing process while interacting with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Seek grant opportunities and research for grant applications.
  • Write grant applications, letters of intent, and other written correspondence.
  • Complete various grant components such as white papers and requests for proposals/qualifications.
  • Facilitate meetings, seminars, and workshops on the grant writing process.
  • Interact with external partners.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong written and oral communications and research skills.
  • Ability to write clearly and compellingly across various subject areas and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Experience in program design and development.
  • Meeting facilitation skills.
  • Research expertise in both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Understanding of technical writing, deadlines, and regulations.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Possession of a professional, team-oriented mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in grant writing, particularly for the National Science Foundation and/or National Institute of Health.
  • Experience in research and budgeting.
