About the position

Signalink is looking to hire a Technical Illustrator who will work with a diverse team comprised of engineering, logistics, and aircraft professionals to create and update graphics for technical publications and installation instructions. The role involves updating existing technical illustrations to incorporate changes from both the customer and the team, ensuring that all illustrations meet the required government standards. The Technical Illustrator will also be responsible for converting raster-based graphics to vector-based graphics for use in technical publications, as well as creating new illustrations for the logistics team. Accuracy is paramount in this position, as the Technical Illustrator must verify the completeness and correctness of all technical illustrations produced.

Responsibilities

• Update existing technical illustrations to incorporate changes from the customer and team
• Convert raster-based graphics to vector-based graphics for use in technical publications
• Create new illustrations for use in technical publications produced by the logistics team
• Verify accuracy of technical illustrations to ensure completeness meeting government standards

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma
• 5-8 years of related experience in a similar setting
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to travel 25% of the time
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Army (or DoD) Technical Manuals
• Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Can conceptualize a 3D view into a static 2D image
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a team environment
