About the position

The position involves creating, editing, and maintaining detailed technical equipment illustrations for Army Publications using various CAD software programs. The role requires adherence to specific government standards and style sheets, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on shared projects. Candidates must provide a portfolio of related illustrations to demonstrate their skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical equipment illustrations from photographs, engineering drawings, and physical inspections.
• Edit and maintain illustrations in a database format for Army Publications.
• Ensure all illustrations meet government specifications and standards.
• Utilize various CAD software programs to produce illustrations.
• Collaborate with team members on shared work packages.
• Interface with customers to resolve graphical specifications and issues.

Requirements

• Ability to create, edit, and maintain technical illustrations in a database.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or IsoDraw.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation.
• Capacity to work individually or in a group setting.
• Portfolio of related illustrations is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Corel Draw
• Experience with Interactive Authoring and Display Software
• Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling.
