About the position

As a Technical Implementation Manager at Collins Aerospace, you will lead the management of HF and VHF Air-to-Ground voice radio programs for the commercial aviation sector. This role involves overseeing the Implementation team, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and enhancing communication systems while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Oversee air-to-ground radio communication system setup, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Manage and lead the Implementation team, assigning tasks based on business unit priorities.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of network and equipment upgrades and relocation of communication stations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, providing insights for technical decision-making.
  • Assist business unit leadership with strategic planning and support proposal efforts.
  • Identify areas for process improvements within the technical team and implement strategies to streamline operations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage special projects as assigned, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in aviation radio communications.
  • Prior experience with technical implementation and project execution.
  • Experience managing small teams.
