About the position

The Technical Implementation Manager at Collins Aerospace is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of HF and VHF Air-to-Ground voice radio programs within the commercial aviation sector. This role involves leading a team dedicated to supporting the Aviation Voice Services portfolio, ensuring effective implementation and maintenance of communication systems, and driving innovation in technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Oversee air-to-ground radio communication system setup, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Manage and lead the Implementation team, assigning tasks based on business unit priorities.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of network and equipment upgrades and the relocation of communication stations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, providing insights for technical decision-making.
  • Assist business unit leadership with strategic planning and support proposal efforts.
  • Identify areas for process improvements within the technical team and implement strategies to streamline operations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Manage special projects as assigned, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
