About the position

The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager II at AWS plays a crucial role in managing global infrastructure projects and driving operational improvements within the AWS infrastructure team. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of programs that enhance data center delivery workflows and maintain accurate server rack position data. The role emphasizes the importance of data-driven processes and continuous improvement initiatives to support AWS's mission of providing reliable cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and processes.
  • Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and/or project deliverables, and negotiate any needed trade-offs.
  • Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
  • End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
  • Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up.
  • Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
  • Assist in daily operational tasks as part of the overall Data Center Delivery workflow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced professional degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
