About The Position

The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager for RME Global Electrical Engineering at Amazon is responsible for overseeing the design, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems. This role involves developing and improving electrical maintenance programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and infrastructure management, with a focus on resilience and reliability in electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software).
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Experience with software development and platform implementation.
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot power systems failures.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • 6+ years in operational and maintenance role as an Electrical Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Support deployment of voltage stabilization system across North America.
  • Support, improve, and develop electrical maintenance programs and policies at warehouse locations, including audits of existing programs in compliance with local codes and global standards.
  • Partner with Risk Management and other key stakeholders in changes to the electrical systems.
  • Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
  • Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
  • Support operations, construction, and other relevant departments with electrical subject matter expertise.
  • Conduct equipment failure investigation and provide mitigation solutions.
  • Build relationships with electric utilities in support of Category Management to alleviate worst actor grid performance.
  • Identify opportunity to invest in resilience via utility engagement, improvements internal to the facility, or tooling/guidance improvements for Field teams.
  • Develop and implement procedures for monitoring, diagnosing, and maintaining performance of assets.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Risk Management, Safety, and/or Real Estate to review internal and external audit findings related to electrical and related risks.
