About the position

The Technical Project Manager will support global initiatives for physical infrastructure and network services, focusing on LAN, WAN, and firewall projects. This role involves managing various site-related projects, coordinating IT acquisition and divestiture initiatives, and providing project management support during implementation tasks. The position requires strong communication and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global site-related projects including new sites, site consolidations, and site closures.
  • Coordinate and manage IT acquisition and divestiture initiatives related to LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies.
  • Facilitate IS War Rooms and participate in War Room on-call 24x7 rotation.
  • Align with IT business units and stakeholders to plan and schedule IT tasks for acquisition and divestiture projects.
  • Provide project management support during weekday and weekend implementation tasks, including hyper care support processes.
  • Produce and maintain status reports, meeting minutes, dashboards, milestones, and other project documents.
  • Maintain and drive closure of open risks, issues, and action items registers.
  • Act as the primary communication point for all IT components and escalate issues to leadership.
  • Develop and manage the project plan, including scope, WBS, schedule, resource requirements, and integration efforts.
  • Track and adhere to project budgets, ensuring familiarity with all budget components.
  • Communicate with designated users regarding schedules, testing requirements, and integration support for IT tasks.
  • Engage with 3rd party service providers and IT vendors to support IT tasks.
  • Support weekend and off-hours infrastructure migration projects, including HyperCare shift rotations.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of Technical Infrastructure Project Management experience.
  • Experience in a technical PM function supporting LAN, WAN, and firewall projects globally.
  • Strong project management fundamentals, including reporting, communication, and managing project schedules/plans.
