About the position

As an Instructional Designer at CAS, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of technical curricula. This position requires a strong focus on curriculum revision, ensuring that the instructional materials are up-to-date and effective for learners. You will be tasked with breaking down complex subjects into manageable units of instruction, which may include topics related to electronics, IT systems, or specialized areas such as the operation and repair of weapons systems. Your ability to create engaging graphics and integrate them into the curriculum will be essential in enhancing the learning experience. The courses you design may vary in format, including instructor-led, computer-based, simulator-based, and interactive or non-interactive formats. This diversity in course delivery methods will require you to be adaptable and innovative in your approach to instructional design. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of the learners and aligns with industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for curriculum revision and maintenance.
  • Organize and draft curriculum that breaks complex subjects into manageable units of instruction.
  • Create graphics and integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Design courses that may be instructor-based, computer-based, simulator-based, interactive, or non-interactive.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure curriculum effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Strong coordination and task management skills.
  • Three years of relevant experience in instructional design or a related field.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
