The Technical Instructional Designer plays a crucial role in developing and delivering effective training solutions tailored to meet specific business needs. This position involves collaborating closely with the Client's Curriculum Managers and other trainers to assess the needs of target audiences and propose appropriate training solutions. The designer will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive courseware primarily using e-learning authoring tools. This includes the development of multimedia content such as videos, quizzes, and simulations, as well as supporting materials like slides, handouts, and lab instructions that emphasize the necessary tasks for performing job duties. In addition to content creation, the Technical Instructional Designer will work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and external technical trainers to integrate their expertise into various training formats. The role requires a proactive approach to researching technology-related information and maintaining awareness of external seminars and training literature. The designer will also be expected to have a solid understanding of instructional design methodologies and experience in developing performance-based learning programs for diverse audiences across different environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently while researching course needs. A background in technical communications, including writing and editing, is essential, as is proficiency in multimedia tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with AI platforms and 3D modeling is preferred, along with knowledge of major technologies such as database design and development, networking, and security. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with a Master's or other formal education in Instructional Design being preferred.
