About the position

The Technical IT Product Manager for the North America Vehicle Ordering Product team at Ford Motor Company is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. This role requires a strong background in IT product management, particularly with cloud-based solutions, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience and improve product offerings. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence 2-3 days a week in Dearborn, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive product backlog, including user stories, epics, and features.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features for successful product delivery.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle, defining requirements and working closely with engineering teams.
  • Lead the design and development of user interfaces and workflows for intuitive user experiences.
  • Utilize advanced skills in Google Cloud Platform to design and manage cloud-based solutions.
  • Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and leverage DORA metrics for product reliability.
  • Leverage data analytics and user feedback for informed decision-making on product features.
  • Implement Agile best practices to enhance product development processes.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure customer needs and feedback are prioritized in product development efforts.
  • Provide comprehensive support for the product, including post-launch maintenance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, including Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex concepts.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and translating them into actionable features.
  • 2+ years as a Product Manager/Owner focused on cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • 2+ years' experience in UI/UX workflow design and development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data models for product features.
  • Knowledge of SRE practices and DORA metrics.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry, particularly in vehicle ordering systems.
