About the position

The Technical (Java) Project Manager at Capgemini is responsible for leading and mentoring an offshore team while ensuring that technical solutions align with business requirements. This role involves project management, API design and development, and collaboration with stakeholders and offshore leads to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and mentor an offshore team.
• Review and analyze technical solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and guide standard processes in software development, testing, and deployment.
• Manage projects, focusing on API design and development, while collaborating with all stakeholders and offshore leads.

Requirements

• Experience in managing applications with backend frameworks like Node.js or Java.
• Experience in PostgreSQL or similar SQL databases.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development and front-end technologies like React.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of version control tools like Git or GitLab.
• Ability to work in Agile teams and participate in Scrum or Kanban processes.
• Familiarity with deployment strategies, such as blue/green deployments.
