About the position

The Technical Lead Engineer/Project Manager at MPR Associates will oversee engineering projects related to electric power generating facilities, including nuclear, coal, gas, renewables, and transmission and distribution systems. This role combines technical expertise with project management responsibilities, requiring the candidate to contribute immediately to project teams while leveraging leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design, analysis, specification, testing, modification, and failure investigation of industrial systems and equipment.
• Manage technical projects related to electric power generating facilities.
• Contribute technical expertise to project teams and support project management responsibilities.
• Utilize design and analysis tools for various systems and components.
• Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Sciences from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in engineering projects.
• Experience in specification, design, or evaluation of mechanical, civil/structural, I&C, and/or electrical systems.
• Management experience in technical projects.
• Familiarity with industry design standards, codes, and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Training experience.
• Fundamental of Engineering (FE) and/or Professional Engineer's license.
