About the position
The Technical Lead - Enterprise Billing at Genesys is a pivotal role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic problem-solving to support the Go-To Customer team. This position focuses on delivering complex cloud-based solutions, particularly utilizing the Zuora Billing platform and Salesforce. The Technical Lead will engage with various stakeholders to analyze needs, drive technical priorities, and ensure adherence to best practices in architecture and agile methodologies. This role is not about managing a team but rather leading technical decisions and recommendations across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of mechanisms that support agile delivery.
- Provide hands-on assistance with complex technical solutions as a senior engineer.
- Engage with technical stakeholders to manage requirements and facilitate cost estimation.
- Ensure engineering and technical considerations are included in team rituals.
- Commit to achievable and realistic goals with the delivery team, including diverse perspectives in planning.
- Lead the technical design of the platform, ensuring adherence to architecture, security, and development best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Order to Cash experience with Zuora Billing platform including Product Catalog, Orders, Subscriptions, Pricing, and Billing Models.
- Familiarity with Zuora Revenue Recognition process and knowledge of ASC 606.
- Experience with Salesforce for upstream integration.
- Hands-on experience with integration technologies (APIs, webhooks, middleware) and data formats (JSON, XML).
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices including continuous integration and deployment automation.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in agile teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
