About the position
The Technical Lead, Java Development will play a crucial role in leading technical teams to deliver innovative web and mobile solutions within a financial services group. This position involves engaging with various stakeholders to understand business needs, co-architecting complex solutions, and ensuring compliance with architectural standards. The role requires collaboration with architecture and security teams, as well as leading meetings and presentations with senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams to deliver web & mobile solutions and other internally facing web-based solutions.
- Engage with architecture, business solutions analysts, and domain heads to understand business drivers for technical solutions.
- Own detailed technical designs and specifications compliant with solutions architecture.
- Co-architect and design complex solutions that meet and exceed business needs.
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to define standards and best practices for code development and ITSM.
- Follow architecture specifications to create detailed design specifications for developers to produce quality code.
- Work within a high-tech Spring Boot (Java-based) ecosystem for API development, and also in Python, .NET, and Sitecore for digital assets.
- Lead meetings and presentations with stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Support nonfunctional load tests in collaboration with the QA community and work with Infrastructure for cloud tuning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of full-stack development of Web and/or Mobile apps.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise system implementations and integrations.
- Technical depth in Java, Spring Boot, APIs, JSON, Web Services.
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps processes, with experience in tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Jfrog, etc.
- Understanding/experience implementing ITIL and ITSM standard frameworks.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology/concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 plus benefits and bonus.
