About the position
The Technical Lead - Privacy and Discovery is a hybrid role responsible for providing specialized technical leadership in the architecture, design, implementation, and support of systems and applications that enhance the Bank's Privacy and Data Discovery capabilities. This position involves directing decision-making within technical projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align projects with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Mentors and trains team members, providing guidance and feedback on complex matters.
- Leads specialized technical projects, including development of time estimates and determining project scope.
- Provides insight to management for strategic alignment of technologies with business needs.
- Facilitates system modifications or architectural changes and collaborates on technical issues.
- Maintains strong knowledge of Bank technologies and serves as a resource on specialized technologies.
- Administers tools and processes implementing Privacy and Data Protection controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Technical work in Application Development, Server Administration, Information Security, or Engineering, OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in the same fields.
- Advanced experience with modern technologies and systems development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to deliver solutions that solve complex problems using independent thinking skills.
- Experience with enterprise Privacy automation platforms (e.g., OneTrust) and/or data discovery platforms (e.g., BigID, Varonis).
- Experience in data structure and inspection technologies such as JSON, XML, REGEX, and Python.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining complex platforms within a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with the OneTrust platform and BigID data discovery or similar technologies.
