About the position

The Technical Manager, Process Engineering role at Ramboll involves leading process project execution in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and chemical sectors, particularly focusing on the Gulf Coast region. Responsibilities

  • Support the business development team as a subject matter expert in chemical process engineering and energy transition.
  • Manage and execute feasibility studies, concept development, and engineering design projects as a technical lead or project manager.
  • Develop design deliverables at various project stages, including process flow diagrams and equipment specifications.
  • Identify issues and risks, proposing innovative solutions while grasping unfamiliar concepts.
  • Coach and mentor earlier career staff.
  • Develop and present technical presentations to clients at industry conferences.
  • Leverage existing network in the Gulf Coast region to identify opportunities for Ramboll engagement.
  • Manage budget and schedule performance on assigned process projects.
  • Effectively communicate and document with project teams and external contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in process engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Knowledge of chemical process and energy transition technologies and trends.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Process simulation experience (e.g., CHEMCAD, PROMAX) is a plus.
