About the position

As a Technical Marketing Program Manager at SEL, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products and technologies are effectively communicated to customers across various industries worldwide. This position requires a deep understanding of industry research, product roadmaps, and customer perspectives to develop strategic marketing plans that resonate with our target audience. You will work closely with stakeholders from Research & Development, Sales & Customer Service, and other divisions to ensure that all marketing materials and activities are consistent, accurate, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include meeting with stakeholders and leaders across divisions to discuss product roadmaps, customer insights, industry news, and strategic marketing initiatives. You will engage in independent research to learn about SEL technologies, major competitors, and industry trends, collaborating with subject matter experts and marketing research analysts to gather valuable insights. Additionally, you will work with marketing operations and creative teams to enhance the understanding of SEL products and applications, guiding the direction of marketing activities and ensuring the technical accuracy of marketing collateral. You will also be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing program plans, project proposals, and technical briefs that distill key technical information, business intelligence, and strategic objectives into actionable guidance for all related marketing activities and collateral. Presenting marketing plans and results to various stakeholders, including executive leadership, will be a key aspect of your role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, problem-solving, and building relationships with diverse stakeholders while facilitating decisions among groups with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize industry research, product roadmaps, and customer perspectives to develop strategic marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Research & Development, Sales & Customer Service, and other divisions to ensure marketing collateral is consistent and accurate.
  • Conduct independent research on SEL technologies, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Work with marketing operations and creative teams to enhance understanding of SEL products and applications.
  • Develop marketing program plans, project proposals, and technical briefs that translate technical information into actionable guidance.
  • Present marketing plans and results to various stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in technical marketing, sales, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to learn technical topics quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in teaching and presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Highly motivated, well organized, strategically minded, and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the electrical engineering industry.
