About the position

The Technical Operations Analyst at StarRez serves as the first technical point of contact for customer issues, facilitating communication between customers and the Product & Technology department. This role requires a strong understanding of the StarRez product suite and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, while also documenting and escalating recurring problems. The analyst will work closely with engineering teams and must be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer configuration and issues escalated from outside the technology community
  • Make changes to infrastructure, code, and configuration to resolve customer issues
  • Gather and document relevant information to build a technical bug report
  • Identify, document, and escalate common recurring issues
  • Analyze issues to determine a suitable fix or escalate to the responsible team
  • Build and maintain a technical understanding of products and services
  • Coordinate issue response between teams inside and outside the StarRez tech community
  • Proactively identify issues customers are experiencing and coordinate remediation
  • Assist with coordination/orchestration of deployments to customer environments
  • Participate in Incident Response activities and Incident Postmortems

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the StarRez product
  • Experience of 2+ years in a customer support role
  • Willingness to learn new systems and technologies as the environment evolves
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read and debug code in at least one programming language
  • Understanding of core product technologies (MSSQL, .NET, Web)
  • Proficiency in reading/writing SQL
  • Familiarity with Monitoring/Observability tooling (e.g. Application Insights, DataDog)
