About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Technical Operations Analyst (Level 4) to support activities at the Edwards Air Force Base, California. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) by overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects. The selected candidate will serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) for various contracts, with a primary focus on the F-16 program. This position requires a strong understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and the application of CAM tools and techniques, including program baselining, variance explanations, and regular status presentations. The candidate will also be responsible for developing cost estimates and related documentation, such as Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), while supporting special projects and initiatives, including remote flight test deployments. Collaboration is key in this role, as the candidate will work with diverse disciplines and organizations across multiple locations, including Lockheed Martin Aero, other business units, international customers, suppliers, and the program office. Strong communication skills and persistence are essential for success in this position. The role requires previous experience as a CAM and familiarity with flight test activities is desired. The position also involves some travel, estimated at less than 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Control account management for several contracts at the test site.
  • Assist with estimating and proposal activities for future work at the test site.
  • Support and back up other flight test CAMS, as needed.
  • Support special projects and initiatives, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a control account manager (CAM)
  • Advanced experience with data analysis
  • Project management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) experience to include labor, material, interdivisional work transfer agreements (IWTAs)
  • Mastery of EVMS skins, knowledge, and application
  • Working knowledge of LM Aero EVMS processes and tools such as SAP, ADAR, and Tableau or equivalent industry tools
  • Experience with LM Aero accounting policies and procedures, or government or aerospace industry accounting policies and procedures
  • Experience developing cost estimates, Bases of Estimate (BOEs), and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Familiarity with US and International contracts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
  • Comfortable working on a small team that covers for each other during periods of extended time off and vacations
  • Familiarity with flight test operations, aerospace technical vernacular, and test environments
  • Flexibility when priorities change
  • Advanced experience with Excel
