About the position

The Technical Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operations of technical areas within the organization. This role involves monitoring quality processes, implementing improvements, and supervising personnel to maintain compliance with quality assurance standards. The coordinator will work closely with management to support training, workflow efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements, while also leading process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and monitoring of quality processes for technical operation areas.
  • Ensure efficient operations of activities including workflow and sustaining Lean practices.
  • Monitor QA, ITS, proficiency, and competency to ensure standardized best practices.
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of the Quality Management System.
  • Assist department supervisors and managers in implementing training and compliance standards.
  • Conduct meetings to review production-tracking data and quality metrics.
  • Utilize structured root cause analysis to solve problems and prepare reports for managers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and communicate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with departments to monitor workflow and resolve backlog issues.
  • Evaluate processes to establish quality and service level objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in biological or chemical science/laboratory sciences or equivalent.
  • Four years of relevant experience in Clinical Areas with a Bachelor's Degree or six years with an Associate Degree.
  • Experience in process improvement tools such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience managing clinical laboratory Quality Assurance / Quality Control programs.
  • Understanding of CAP and ISO 15189 accreditation standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least two years of relevant experience in Clinical Areas with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
