About the position

The Cloud Technical Product Analyst role at McDonald's is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team, focusing on delivering modern technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This position involves managing cloud platform engineering outcomes, overseeing agile product processes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective implementation and support of cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day release management, reporting, and coordination for cloud changes.
  • Contributes to the end-to-end ownership of features from ideation through implementation and maintenance.
  • Provides functional design of business requirements for developers and sets acceptance criteria.
  • Writes epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in automation scripts, participating in all agile events as a team leader.
  • Collaborates with product teams, technical architects, developers, and tech leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
  • Verifies testing results and raises defects/issues against owned features.
  • Completes end-to-end testing of features and provides sign-off for code releases into production.
  • Validates production releases by working with business users using test accounts in the production environment.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with diverse collaborators across the company, including executive leadership.
  • Understands complex customer issues, converting them into problem statements and providing innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Passion for Cloud and DevOps technology, with knowledge of industry structure and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in Jira, Confluence, Service Now, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about new technologies with a positive engagement style.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • 3+ years of product execution/technical business analyst experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years relevant experience and a Master's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in change and design initiatives related to cloud and operations.
  • Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and third parties for solution implementation.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS, big data, security and privacy, development and operations, or AI/ML.
  • Direct experience leading an Agile team.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting user research.
