About the position

The Technical Product Analyst at Community Health Systems (CHS) serves as a vital link between technical teams and healthcare stakeholders. This role focuses on leveraging data analysis and technical expertise to define product requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. The analyst will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and clinicians to translate complex healthcare challenges into actionable technical specifications, ensuring successful project execution throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and gather requirements from various stakeholders including clinicians and administrators.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
  • Analyze existing data sources to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Create and maintain product backlog items, prioritizing tasks based on business value and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure solutions are technically sound and meet requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
  • Track progress against project milestones and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
  • Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and solicit feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a product analyst or in a similar role within a data-driven environment, preferably in healthcare.
  • 2+ years of development experience with SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience in project documentation using JIRA or SmartSheets.
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
