About the position

The Technical Product Analyst at McDonald's plays a crucial role in the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team, focusing on delivering modern technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify insights that reduce support requests and improve data management processes, ultimately contributing to the transformation of McDonald's infrastructure and operations products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to features from conceptualization through implementation and maintenance.
  • Provides input into the functional design of business requirements for developers and sets acceptance criteria.
  • Writes epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in automation scripts, participating in all agile events as a team member.
  • Collaborates with product teams, technical architects, developers, and tech leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
  • Verifies testing results and raises defects/issues against the features owned.
  • Supports end-to-end testing of features and provides sign-off for code releases into production.
  • Validates production releases by working with business users using test accounts in the production environment.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with diverse collaborators across the company.
  • Understands customer issues, converting them into problem statements and providing out-of-the-box solutions through design thinking.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of software development/programming due to the technical nature of the role.
  • Skills with Office, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures, or other data tooling.
  • Demonstrated capabilities working in Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working with customers and participating in requirements sessions.
  • Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle, including data requirements gathering and migration.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-organizational partners to define requirements and resolve data issues.
  • Experience mapping, transforming, and loading data from source to target software systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years professional experience with SQL or similar RDBMS architecture.
  • Experience in change and design initiatives in operations, IT, and product development.
  • Experience designing reports with Power BI/Tableau using relational or big data.
  • Experience with GitHub and Python.
  • Experience in user-centric designs to drive customer journey outcomes.
