About the position

The Technical Ecommerce Leader will play a pivotal role in supporting a critical digital transformation project for one of EPAM's top clients. This high-impact position involves leading technical aspects of Shopify Plus implementations, providing consulting expertise, and mentoring junior developers. The role offers opportunities for skill advancement and growth within a global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical aspects of Shopify Plus implementations, including architecture design, custom development, integrations, and performance optimization
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, provide strategic advice, and develop tailored e-commerce solutions on the Shopify Plus platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, robust, and innovative Shopify Plus solutions that meet client requirements and industry best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to clients, delivering workshops, training, and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and utilization of the Shopify Plus platform

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience consulting on Ecommerce Solutions
  • Proven ability to interact with C-Suite and other Technical Leadership in a client-facing environment
  • Extensive experience in Shopify Plus development, including Liquid programming, custom app development, and API integrations
  • Experience with other ecommerce platforms and implementations including: Adobe Experience Manager, Magento, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc
  • Strong consulting background with proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver strategic solutions
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, including SEO, UX/UI, performance optimization, and multi-channel integration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about client needs and how best to address them with Shopify Plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing large-scale e-commerce projects
  • Shopify Plus certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with headless commerce implementations using Shopify Plus and related technologies
