About the position

Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries is seeking a Technical Product Manager for Aftermarket Services for Pumps. This role is pivotal in providing technical expertise for the development, support, and training of aftermarket products related to cryogenic pumps and services. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from conception through to launch and ongoing support. This includes developing tools, presentations, communication documents, and work instructions that are essential for the product range. The manager will also be accountable for creating technical service bulletins and providing feedback to product companies to enhance product quality, including support for warranty administration. In this role, you will promote a customer-focused approach throughout the organization, ensuring that the product roadmap aligns with the company's strategic goals. You will conduct market research, analyze customer feedback, and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for product features and enhancements. Effective communication of the product vision and requirements to the engineering team is crucial, as is the development of training materials to enhance the knowledge and competence of regional employees. The Technical Product Manager will also participate in regular Product Quality Meetings to provide feedback aimed at improving product quality. You will be responsible for providing Tier 2 support for complex troubleshooting and directing the creation of Product Master Specifications for new aftermarket products. Regular meetings with product companies will be held to review equipment performance and necessary improvements. Additionally, you will oversee the development and distribution of technical bulletins and work closely with the commercial business manager to plan and execute product launches, including communication strategies and training materials. Participation in technical seminars, customer events, and trade shows will also be part of your responsibilities, along with supporting Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for compliance with international and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Customer Focus throughout the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap that aligns with the company's overall strategy and business goals.
  • Conduct market research, analyze customer feedback, and stay abreast of industry trends to identify potential opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate the product vision, requirements, and priorities to the engineering team.
  • Develop training material and programs to increase the knowledge and competence of regional employees.
  • Create technical sales tools, including presentations, brochures, articles, and press releases related to the assigned product range.
  • Participate in regular Product Quality Meetings to provide feedback to product companies to improve product quality.
  • Provide technical input into the recommendation and development of Aftermarket products and services.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for complex troubleshooting opportunities.
  • Direct the creation of the Product Master Specification for all new Aftermarket Products.
  • Conduct regular product meetings with Product Company to review outstanding issues with equipment performance.
  • Continuously seek and receive feedback about product performance and applications.
  • Ensure that AMS products are developed to include innovative features and added benefits.
  • Work with Product Company to ensure the life cycle of equipment is understood and technical knowledge within NCS is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop Investment plans for NCS product lines to support global customers.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of technical bulletins.
  • Work closely with the commercial business manager to plan and execute product launches, including communication strategies and training materials.
  • Contribute to the development of the Nikkiso CE&IG University aftermarket product management curriculum.
  • Participate in technical seminars, customer events, and trade shows as necessary.
  • Support QMS requirements for conformance with international and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in international manufacturing or industrial services company.
  • Experience in product companies or service companies is required.
  • Technical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of the NCE&IG Group's products is preferred.
